Healthy Snacks for Littles

Healthy Snack for the Little with No Caregiver or Caregiver is away, they will be simple ones that the little can do alone or get crafty with their caregiver. These are a few that I got from DDLGforums and Pinterest browsing around.

Banana Bites ( source : MachoPrincess) Ingredients: - bananas - yogurt - sprinkles Tools: - cookie sheet - popsicle sticks Instructions: All you have to do is peel all of the bananas you plan on using. Next you cut the banana in half (not the long way). After that you poke your Popsicle sticks through your bananas. Then you dip the bananas in your yogurt. Once the banana is covered in yogurt you can put some sprinkles on it for decoration and stuff. Lastly you place them on the cookie sheet and in the freezer for a couple hours until they've turned into healthy banana Popsicle! This also works if you buy bakers chocolate and melt it and use it in the place of the yogurt.

Berry Pops ( Source : MissJellyBean) Makes 10 pops 16 oz Non fat plain Greek Yogurt 3 Tablespoons of honey 1 Teaspoon of vanilla extract 4 oz Blueberries 4 oz Raspberries

Frozen Strawberry Yogurt (Source) 4 cups Strawberries, frozen 3 tbsp Agave nectar or honey 1 tbsp Lemon juice, fresh 1/2 cup Yogurt, plain non-fat or full fat Mix the Greek yogurt, honey & vanilla extract until well blended. Add half of the mixture to the ice pop molds. Add a few whole berries in each mold and push to the bottom of the mold with a toothpick. Freeze the pops for about 15 minutes just to harden them up a bit. Meanwhile, in a blender puree the remaining of the Greek yogurt and the berries. Add the mix to the ice pop molds and freeze at least 3 – 4 hours.
